Sevens Series: With Antoine Dupont, the Blues win their first game in Vancouver
For the great premiere of Antoine Dupont with the French team of rugby sevensThe Blues beat the United States (24-12) in the first match of the Vancouver tournament of the World Rugby Sevens Series this Friday afternoon (kick-off was at 2:37 p.m. local time, 11:37 p.m. Paris time).
The Stade Toulousain scrum half and the 15-man French team did not start the game and did not play a single second during the first half. But number 25, with his black tights under his pants, returned at minute 3:40 of the second half. The Blues will face Samoa overnight from Friday to Saturday (around 4:40am) and then Australia on Saturday at 10:45pm to close out the group stage. For its part, the French women’s team beat Canada 26-14 to enter the competition. Séraphine Okemba scored a double.
