Things are happening at the Stade Brestois at the moment. Second in League 1 behind Paris-SG, after 22 days, more committed than ever to the project of its new venue (Arkea Park, planned for 2027), will also buy the Pen Helen site in the city of Brest, where the land for its training center is located, for an amount of 375,000 euros, as revealed The telegramin today's edition.

Near the Francis-Le Blé stadium, in front of the club headquarters and the centre's accommodation buildings, the site housed the vocational training center and the construction of new structures until 2016, in Kerlaurent, in the neighboring town of Guipavas.

“SB29 decided to bring the training center to high-level requirements, declares Patrick Appéré, Sports Deputy of the city council, to the regional newspaper. Since they wanted to invest a lot for it, they had to become owners of the place. The sale should become effective before the summer, but the works, the exclusive responsibility of the club, can begin, once the matter has been voted on by the Municipal Council. »

The Pen Helen site will therefore be adapted to the standards imposed by the FFF to maintain its approval, including the reconstruction of the changing rooms and the transformation of the grass field into a synthetic one, like the second existing one.
