Dafydd Jenkins (Wales): “No fear and no pressure” against Ireland
Dafydd Jenkins (Wales Captain, forward his team’s trip to Ireland) : “There is a lot of emotion. Obviously it’s a big challenge to go to Ireland. They are probably the best team right now. That’s why it’s very exciting to compete against the best, without fear and without pressure. So we are very excited.
We’ve had this underdog tag for a while, but we’re still not winning. We are really looking for this victory. We have no pressure, we have nothing to lose. You just have to go out there, give it your all and see what happens.
“It’s about measuring yourself against them (to the Irish) and prove ourselves.”
We don’t like being the underdog because we work hard to be the best, but that’s the situation we find ourselves in. Ireland is a class team. They have shown these last two weeks why they are the best team in the world. Their running game is very important for them. They have high-level players. It’s about measuring ourselves against them and proving our worth.
